Job Description

Position: Remote Digital Forensics Intern

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in conducting digital forensic investigations to identify, collect, and analyze digital evidence related to security incidents.
  • Support the examination of computers, mobile devices, and networks to uncover evidence of cybercrimes or policy violations.
  • Utilize forensic tools and software to recover data, analyze logs, and perform malware analysis.
  • Document findings and create comprehensive reports detailing the forensic analysis process and results.
  • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to improve incident response strategies based on forensic insights.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and techniques in digital forensics and cybersecurity.
  • Participate in team meetings to discuss ongoing investigations and contribute ideas for process improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Digital Forensics, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of digital forensics concepts, including evidence collection, analysis techniques, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with forensic tools such as EnCase, FTK, or open-source alternatives is a plus.
  • Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and network protocols.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document findings and present results clearly.
  • A passion for cybersecurity and digital forensics, with a desire to learn and grow in the field.
