Key Responsibilities
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on web applications, networks, and systems.
- Identify and report security weaknesses, misconfigurations, and potential attack vectors.
- Assist in the development and execution of security testing plans to assess the security posture of applications.
- Work closely with the development team to suggest and implement security enhancements.
- Analyze malware and develop strategies to mitigate and protect against future threats.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security vulnerabilities, hacking techniques, and cybersecurity trends.
- Document findings and provide recommendations for improving security measures.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, etc.) and common web application vulnerabilities (e.g., SQL injection, XSS).
- Familiarity with ethical hacking tools like Kali Linux, Burp Suite, Nmap, Metasploit, or Wireshark.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to explain complex security issues to non-technical teams.
- Knowledge of ethical hacking methodologies and best practices is a plus.
- Certification like CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker) or equivalent is a bonus but not mandatory.
