Position: Remote Network Security Analyst Intern

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in monitoring and analyzing network traffic to identify security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Support the implementation and management of security tools, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and antivirus solutions.
• Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to ensure network integrity and compliance with security policies.
• Collaborate with the IT team to respond to security incidents and breaches, documenting findings and remediation steps.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of network security policies and procedures.
• Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and best practices.
• Help create security awareness materials and training sessions for team members.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of network security concepts, protocols, and tools.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and analysis tools such as Wireshark, Splunk, or Nagios is a plus.
• Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment and communicate findings clearly.
• A keen interest in cybersecurity and a desire to learn about network security practices.
